Can I have sex while wearing my menstrual cup?

Ladies, have you ever been in the middle of intimacy with your partner and had to pause because you're worried about your trusty tampon? Well, it's time to say goodbye to those worries and hello to a new best friend: the menstrual cup!

Menstrual cups are a game-changer when it comes to period protection. They're comfortable, eco-friendly, and can be worn for up to 12 hours at a time (yes, you read that right!) without having to worry about leaks.

But what about after getting intimate? Should you change your menstrual cup right away? The answer is... it depends!

If your cup is still in good shape and you don't feel any discomfort or leaks, then it's probably okay to keep it in. However, if you do feel a little uneasy, go ahead and change it. After all, you want to feel confident and comfortable in all aspects of your life, including your period.

Just like with tampons, it's always a good idea to wash your hands before and after changing your menstrual cup. And if you're feeling extra cautious, you can always rinse it out with water before putting it back in.

Remember, menstrual cups are a personal choice, so listen to your body and do what feels best for you. Happy hormones, happy life!

Can I keep my cup in during penetrative intercourse?

Okay, let's get down and dirty (figuratively speaking!) about having penetrative intercourse while wearing a menstrual cup. First of all, it's important to remember that menstrual cups are designed to be our trusty sidekick during that time of the month, catching all that pesky menstrual blood before it has a chance to ruin our day.

But what happens when we want to get a little wild in the sheets while Aunt Flo is in town? Well, things can get a bit cramped down there with a menstrual cup in the mix. The cup is meant to sit low in the vaginal canal and can sometimes get in the way of the fun. Plus, the motion of getting busy can cause the cup to move or even leak. Yikes!

So, what's a girl to do?

If you're looking to have a steamy rendezvous during your period, it may be best to take a little break from your menstrual cup. A trusty panty liner or menstrual pad can be your backup while you let loose.

At the end of the day, every body is different and what works for some may not work for others. Don't be afraid to experiment and find what feels right for you. And if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to hit up your favorite gyno for some advice.
